It’s been a while since I’ve been able to blog! I don’t know about you but the month of February and the first part of March felt more like the busy season in December for me! I’m glad spring is starting to show signs of coming though.

I’m picking up where I left off in the alphabet…the letter H. There are so many adorable girl names that start with H but I had to narrow it down to the most popular names that kept popping up when I did my search. Here’s what I found!

Hazel is an English name and comes from the hazel tree, the hazelnut, and the brown-green eye color. Hazel was coined in the 19th century as a first given name.

Hailey is a more popular variation of the name Hayley. It comes from an old English town that means hay clearing or hay field.

Hadley means Heather Field and is an old English name. Hadley has been a very popular name in the United States in the last few years!

Harmony according to Baby Center, Harmony means a beautiful blending. It is a Greek name. It has stayed quite popular the last few years in the United States. I have a friend named Harmony and she is one of the sweetest people I know. She is so kind and caring.

Hope is a beautiful name and means just what it says…hope, trust, faith. It is an English name and was first used by the Puritans in the 17th century, according to Behind The Name.

Harley could be a boy or girl name, but I saw it more on the popular girl name lists than I did on the boys names. Harley is an old English name and means hare meadow or woodland, clearing.

Haven means safe place and would be fitting for any soft-spoken little girl. I love this name. It is an English name and reminds me of someone who you can always trust and feel safe around.

Holly is an old English name. It comes from the Holly Bush or Holly Grove. Though Holly dropped off in popularity in the 1990’s, after a huge spike in the 1970’s and 1980’s, it has started to gain popularity again in the last couple of years.
